The owl on perch
is a beautiful representation in wood of the night-active bird of prey.
The owl is realized by the artists of the wood carving company Demetz Patrick
and is represented in this wood sculpture on a perch. A lot of fine carved and
painted details enrich this wooden figure: the feathers, the eyes, the beak and
the paws of the owl are elaborated with an accuracy, which is well known in the
long tradition of the woodcarving in Val Gardena. The woodcarved owl on perch
is available in the variants natural, stained 3 colors and color as well as in
several sizes.
There are about 200 different species of owls worldwide. Representatives of the
bird of prey are to be found on all continents except Antarctica.
Most owls are night active; an exception is, for example, the snowy owl. The
owl is regarded as a bird of wisdom in the Western world and is therefore often
represented on a pile of books.
