The owl on books
is a wonderful sculpture of the night-active bird of prey.
In the Western world, the owl is regarded as a bird of wisdom and therefore
often represented on books.
The woodcarved owl
on books is realized by the artists of the wood carving company Demetz Patrick.
A lot of fine carved and painted details enrich this wooden figure: the
feathers, the eyes, the beak and the paws of the owl are elaborated with an
accuracy, which is well known in the long tradition of the woodcarving in Val
Gardena. The wood carved owl on books is available in the variants natural,
stained 3 colors and color as well as in several sizes.
There are about 200 different species of owls worldwide. Representatives of the
bird of prey are to be found on all continents except Antarctica.
Most owls are night active; an exception is, for example, the snowy owl. In our
